What are my chances of selection in IBPS specialist officer/IT officer cwe-2

IBPS specialist officer/IT officer common written examination results have been declared and the common interview has also been occurred. We have got many queries from the students regarding their chances of selection in IBPS specialist officer; will they get a seat or not out of 351 total seats; many of queries were related to IT officer scale-1 post. So we are going to analyse the chances of selection of candidates for IT officer scale-1 post. The last time cut off for it officer scale-1 was 128 for general and OBC candidates and 120 for SC/ST candidates. But the cut off this time is much more. This time cut off for general category is 137 and for OBC it is 134.

Last time candidates who got more than 140 out of 200 marks were selected. Not all the candidates who got more than 140 marks were selected but many of them were selected. The selection was also dependent on your interview performance. We know a few students who got 137 or 138 marks and were selected for the post of IT officer scale-1.

This time competition is too high as compared to previous CWE. And the cutoff is also high. But one thing that is common in 2011 CWE and 2013 CWE is number of vacancies are same in both CWE.  Vacancies in 2011 were 397 and in 2013 are 351. Therefore by analyzing the 2011 CWE result it is expected for General category candidates:

Candidates who got 74 as their total weight age score: candidates who got 74 or more as their TWS will definitely get a seat.

Candidates who got more than 70 as TWS: those students who got more than 70 as TWS has bright chances of their selection and can get a seat in first list of allotment, in case they are not selected in first list, they can get a chance in 2^nd list of allotment.

So by analysing the previous results it is predicted that 70% is the cut off for selection of candidates in IT officer scale-1 post. The cut off for OBC candidates can be slightly less than general category. The cut off for OBC candidates can be 68 as TWS, and for SC/ST it can be 66 as TWS.

We are not sure about cut off but we are making an estimate based upon the previous results. However the actual cut off can vary.
