CSC campus placement process or procedure

CSC (Computer Science Corporation) is a leading IT company which comes under the top 500 fortune companies of the world. Today I am going to tell you the placement procedure of CSC. CSC came to our campus (MSIT New Delhi) in the month of November 2012. The package offered by the company was 3.27 lacks/annum. Well I did not take part in the placement process because I was already selected in Dell and I was not allowed to sit in CSC placement process but I was the coordinator in CSC placement process.  The HR manager gave a small introduction about company, its revenue and its

placement process in the form of small power point presentation. After that, written test was conducted at different classrooms of our college. Approximately 350 students gave the written test. There was no bar of branch, it means any student of any branch whether it is ECE, EEE,CS/IT was allowed to participate in CSC recruitment derive. The written test comprised of following two sections:

Objective test: objective test constitute 100 questions in 40 minutes. The test was very simple. R.S Aggarwal books i.e. aptitude and logical reasoning is sufficient to crack this test. However third section was English. It was also very easy.

Subjective test:  there were 4 to 5 topics given to candidates. Candidates have to choose one of the topics and write it in 150-200 words in 15 minutes. Topics were very common like love v/s arrange marriage, reservation system in India etc.

After the written test 126 candidates out of 350 candidates were finally selected. If you are good at aptitude you can easily crack the written test. After the written test there was a JAM session.

JAM session:  JAM session is also known as just a minute session.  This was a main elimination round in CSC placement process. In this session, each candidate has to speak on the topic for a one minute. Generally topic is same as given to you in subjective written test. If you have blunt communication skills or have low confidence you will be eliminated out in this round. This is the main selection round of CSC placement process, if you get through this session you are almost selected in CSC.

54 candidates out of 126 candidates were selected in this round. After the JAM session there comes the interview round. There were two interviews in CSC placement process: technical and HR.

Both the interviews were very easy to crack. There were very simple and basic questions in technical interview. If you know the basics you can easily crack this interview. Technical interview was for duration of 15-20 minutes. They were asking question on C/C++, data structure. If you are a non IT student they will not ask you question of IT rather they will ask you question of you own branch. And in HR interview they were asking the simple question like your hobbies and interests, your goal in life etc. the duration of HR interview was 10-15 minutes. You can easily crack HR interview if you don’t speak any lie to interviewer.
