After completion of common
written examination (CWE) IBPS conducts common interview for the post of IBPS PO/Clerk/Specialist
Officer. Every successful candidate in CWE has to pass the common interview in
order to be eligible for further process of selection. All the 21 banks
participate in the process of common interview. It means candidate can be sent
at any bank for the common interview. In the common interview, there are many
panels of interviewers. In each panel there are 4 to 5 interviewers. These people
are
from HR department and in case of specialist officer interview one person
is from technical background who asks technical questions in the interview.
How to prepare for the IBPS common interview:
Don’t need to bother for
the common interview. They are going to ask you very simple questions. One
advice I will give you is to be confident in interview panel. They are going to
ask current affairs questions. Therefore it is necessary for you to read the
newspaper 2 months prior to the interview. If you already read the newspaper
then there is no problem with you. Don’t read just local newspaper instead read
some national newspaper for the interview preparations.
If your interview is for
the post of non-technical posts such as IBPS PO or Clerk then study all the
banking terms. Interviewers will definitely ask you some of the banking terms
such as SLR, what is NEFT, RTGS, types of account, role of RBI, types of loans,
what is banana public, financial inclusion etc. therefore it is necessary for
you to have knowledge of these banking terms. Search the Google for these
banking sector terms. You will find many with solutions. And if your interview
is for the technical post such as specialist officer post study basics of your
core subjects such as in case of IT officer interview prepare questions from
C/C++, java, DBMS, networking. They will answer simple questions so don’t
bother for the technical interview.
In addition to this they
will ask simple interview questions like your introduction, family background, why
banking, your role model, your hobbies etc. besides these questions they can
ask some hypothetical questions such as why banking sector not IT (if you are
from engineering background), will you leave our bank on better job offer etc.
so you should also practice how to handle these questions.
So these were the
questions that will be asked in the IBPS interviews. Nothing will be asked
other than this. So follow the above tips, don’t waste time and prepare for
interview. You will definitely get good marks if you follow the above tips. If you
have any queries or want to share something please comment below. I have
provided some of the IBPS interviews of candidates. Please go through these
interviews and have an idea of questions.
